Homeoffice die Serie – Nishtha Bali
What does your workplace look like?
I work at my dining table. I have a lovely round wooden table and comfortable dining chairs and I always sit on the same chair, next to my plant and coffee machine. The WLAN at my place never has any trouble!
How do you organise yourself?
I love having a routine to start my morning. Actually, I start my day the night before, checking my calendar before going to bed to see when my meetings are. I always sit down with a cup of coffee and some porridge when I start working.
Do you move less?
MORE! at least in the summer, I took some of my calls outside on walks. I sometimes also ate outside. Now in the winter, I usually go for a walk right after work.
How long have you been working from home?
I have been in home office (off and on) since July 2019. Since march 2020 it has been all day, every day home office!
What does your working day look like?
My work day is always something new. I have many clients and many different kinds of projects. The only structure I have is around my coffee and tea. 😉
What is your favourite home office outfit?
BLACK! As an architect, I am allowed to wear black everyday. And of course Jogginghose. 😉
Do you feel inspired in home office?
So far, I have not noticed much of a difference in my level of inspiration. Its a very new situation for all of us, we are all inspired in different ways by it. We are curious about the future and how the world will change and I think this curiosity keeps us inspired!
How do you imagine working in the future?
I am a workplace strategist so this is a question I answer daily for clients. There is no one solution, there are many possibilities. Maybe we will have no central office, but smaller neighborhood offices. Maybe we will only go into the office once or twice a week for collaborative work. maybe we will go back to how things were before 2020. We have to wait and watch, lets see how this evolves!
